This handbook does not constitute a contract. This handbook presents policies and information as accurately as possible as of the date of publication. Franklin Academy reserves the right to correct errors and make such changes as future circumstances may require. If changes are made to the handbook between regular printings, notice of the changes and their date of effect will be published on this site or other appropriate medium.
Addendum:
Louisiana Act 496, which went into effect August 1, 2026, prohibits the use of AI-generated deepfakes to harass, intimidate, coerce, or embarrass K-12 students. The law applies to students and school employees, enforcing penalties that include mandatory suspension, expulsion, or termination of employment for targeting students with fake AI media.
