Louisiana Act 496 prohibits the use of AI-generated deepfakes to harass, intimidate, coerce, or embarrass K-12 students. The law applies to students and school employees, enforcing penalties that include mandatory suspension, expulsion, or termination of employment for targeting students with fake AI media.  This law took effect August 1, 2026.
